How my favorites are sorted:

1. Bundles: The tags are grouped together in bundles

"A" Bundles:
The bundles that begin with an "A" such as "A:Genre" are tags that apply across all fandoms. Therefore, if you are searching for say, Angst, you would angst fics from all of my fandoms.

"HP" Bundles:
Since my OT Fandom is Harry Potter, you can find all my HP fics grouped into their own bundles, such as Themes, Pairings, Themes Related to Harry, and Magical Creatures.

"Other" Bundles:
These are mainly for my lesser fandoms (Gravitation, etc). Sorted by Pairing and Anime/Show/Etc.

"Personal" Bundles:
These are for special interests of mine.




2. Ratings: I give my faves some ratings to give you an idea of what I liked/disliked

NR: Not rated, either because I havent finished reading it or I don't really remember.

3stars: an okay fic, probably not a re-read. Usually fluff fics, fics with OOC characterizations, bad/poor grammar/language/plot

4stars: I liked it. Not the best, but really enjoyable read. There's probably a small kink I didnt like about it, from lang. to length to characterizations (ex. OOC, weirdness?)

5stars: OMG I READ THIS FIC ONCE A DAY - thats how much I loved it. READ IT. I recommend it.




3. Length: I guess/estimate lengths of stories. Not accurate

My lengths are very subjective. How long did it take to read it, etc. They may not be accurate.

Generally:
Short = ~0 - 4,000 words
Short/Med = ~4,000 - 10,000 words
Medium = ~10,000 - 15,000 words
Long = ~15,000 - 25,000 words
Novella = > 25,000 words
Supernovella = > 150,000 words


4. Kinks: All stories with kinks (BDSM, crossdressing, etc) are in the HP:Themes bundle.

Each kink has a tag that begins with "kink:". Example of a tag would be Kink:BDSM. Therefore, all kinks will be in one place.



5. Other Links: Can be anything from research to music to stock images

All personal links (sites I personally find interesting) are under the bundle "Personal:Interests." They are sorted by type of link.

For example, any type of media (music, video, audio) will have a "Media:" in front of it. For example, music would have the tag "Media:Music" or a music/media download site will have the tag "Media:download"

Very cute and fun one shot. I love Ryoma's stalker tendencies and arrogance (so in character!). I love at the end how Ryoma was tricked into a date with Tezuka (not that he minded of course ^^). very sweet ending. a really good lighthearted fic, especially after reading some depressing ones.

Oh my. This one-shot has to be the most vivid, articulate piece of fiction I have ever read. It is simply so very INTENSE and MOVING and captures the reader so intimately. The descriptions are especially beautiful as well as the character depictions. Hidden meanings, drama, subtle romance, angst--it had it all. Tezuka, Fuji, and Ryoma are described so in depth and complexly. Reading this only makes one ask more questions and are slightly disappointed to see it end (it's that good). A fiction piece that has left me wordless, moved, and enraptured.

I know this is extremely odd, but i just discovered Tezuka/Oishi (MARRIED PAIR)! I was actually reading a triangle between Tezuka/Oishi/Eiji and Tezuka/Oishi ended up together. It was very sweet (though I felt bad for Eiji, as I am a Golden pair supporter). I looked around and the other Married Pair fics are adorable. ^^

I was bored today (when I should have been studying for my chemistry finals) so I made a new "sort of" layout!! I actually like this one much better. H E A D E R... features Kate Winslet at her sexiest best. I love how she looks in this picture. I was originally looking for Kate Winslet simply because someone asked me to find a decent picture of her (from Pride and Prejudice) and make an avatar. However, when I saw this picture, I had to use it. Credit goes to... um Google images? I completely lost the site in my excitement!

The words in the background say "lovely," "beauty," "enchanted," "in love," and of course "charmed im sure." :) random phrases i thought of when making the header.

B A C K G R O U N D... is a simple brown pattern that was tiled. I like this background because it doesn't have too much going on unlike my last background. Credit to squid fingers patterns.

A V A T A R... features the same image downsized. I may add more Kate Winslet avatars if I find any kick-ass images. :) Avatars can also be requested. One of my favorites is actually my guitar girl avatar (see previous entry) because it looks simple and elegant.

Jiroh is absolutely the most adorable character on Prince of Tennis. It's impossible to not like him (whether because he's asleep most of the time or just cute). Atobe and Jiroh is one of my fave Prince of Tennis pairing! ^^

This is just a sweet Atoji that shows the gentler side of Atobe. It shows Atobe's attitude and 'ore-sama' as simply a facade, a mask to help meet others' expectations. 'Face the Sky' depicts Atobe as a star, one who is meant to achieve greatness however Atobe is also weary of living the seemingly "perfect" life. The ending and Jiroh's somewhat sleepy interaction with Atobe is very sweet and gentle. Very cute. ^_^



Word Play by orpheneritus

Pairings: Oshitari/Gakuto and Ohtori/Shisido

Comments:
It made me smile. ^^ A conversation between Oshitari and Ohtori lead to some interesting conclusions about their doubles partners. What is one willing to give up for love? A play on words is the reason for the title. Lovely story. :)

A wonderfully bittersweet story about the relationship between Ohtori and Shisido that made my heart ache at times. Shisido is relucant to become a senpai because of his past experiences. He truly cares about Ohtori, wanting him to be strong and confident, even if it means Ohtori won't be with Shisido. The ending is happy, so do not worry, however there is quite a bit of drama. It almost made me cry, yet at the end I couldn't help but smile. Eloquent and written beautifully. :)

"Belonging" is a very tender Here is Greenwood fanfic, one of the best I've seen. It shows the gradual stages of Mitsuru and Shinobu's relationship growing from simply roommates to lovers. Although the story generally had a light tone, there were moments when Mitsuru was depressed (about his family and his lack of belonging). Very well written. :)

Comments:
"Afar" has a wonderful depth to it that just makes me love it. The writing style is simple and elegant, much like many of the truly well-written Prince of Tennis recs. I love Atobe's guilty conscience and the depiction of Tezuka (almost silent to all except with Atobe). Lovely work.

Spoilers: Ryoma's almost depression and his match with Atobe (that Tezuka requested to make him play better).


Comments:
Very sweet and cute. It is very informal and casual, unlike many other PoT fanfiction that is very deep and full of meaning.

Pairing: Shishido/Ohtori (Tori/Shishi)
Spoilers: Shishido lost to Tachibana and gets kicked off regulars.
Audience: Everyone
Warning: Unhappy ending


Comments:
This is a very attitude-filled one-shot in Shishido's perspective. The tone is anger, bitter, and tough, much like Shishido. The portrayal of Ohtori is incredibly well done, even though it is though mostly actions. I loved how Shishido is the vulnerable one in this story. The ending is heartwrecking and so very sweet that it makes the reader want to make the two confess. A lovely fic, even though the whole thing was written with "you" (which was slightly annoying at first).

I got bored so I changed the look of my journal. I liked the pink Tezu/Ryo theme (because Pillar Pair = ♥), but I found this adorable picture of a girl with a guitar. I had to use it! So, here's the new look: Guitar Girl.

If they're yours, and you would like credit, please comment to this post with proof (website url, etc). The lyrics are from "Welcome to my Life" by Simple Plan. Although Yuuta/Mizuki was an interesting couple, I never tended to pay close attention to this pairing because they were such minor characters. However, sublime's "Sweet Dreams" made me remember what was so attractive about this pairing. "Sweet Dreams" is a pwp smut piece with an undertone of love. sublime writes Mizuki incredibly accurately (to the point where he calculates the best way to have sex as seme). The ending is an uber adorable twist that makes you smile. extremely recommended if you want a cute yaoi fic.

This is an incredibly sweet one-shot romance about Fuji and Ryoma. Yumi's Fuji is very in character, especially with his odd (but complex and true) comparisons of life and love to chemistry. the depth and insight of this story is eloquently done, without seeming too much of a stretch or an educational lesson. Yumi successfully captures that chemistry between Ryoma and Fuji with a touch of fluff. XD

This is one of the sweetest, mildest AtoRyo fanfiction, and one of my favorites. I don't particularly like this pairing, but this fanfic was so adorable I had to put it up for recommendation. It features a sleeping Ryoma and a teasing Atobe. Ryoma is actually the one who takes initiative and Atobe is well... not so Ore-sama. Very lovely and extremely mild. :)

Silent Promises by Yume no Unmei

Comments:
"Silent Promises" is a bittersweet romance between Tezuka and Ryoma. However, Tezuka is very insecure and often feels insignificant compared to Ryoma. He fears losing him, however would let him go if it made Ryoma happy (because he loves him.) This is an angst story and the ending is so utterly devasting. Will Tezuka's insecurities allow him to end the relationship?

The emotion in the writing is very real and vivid. Wonderful fic, even though I don't usually read FujiRyo.

Comments:
This is an intense one-shot from the point of view of Fuji. It shows how the relationship between Ryoma and Fuji is sadistic in the way that Fuji is yet as the story progresses, it is sweeter than it appears. "Possession" is a fairly long one-shot and I enjoyed reading it because it depicted Fuji's personality to the T. Very lovely story.

Very sweet and heartaching. I loved the long wait Fuji had to go through. I also liked the fact that Fuji's smiling facade seems to be shaken through the whole fic. The raw emotions in this story were vivid and eloquently done. Very lovely piece, especially because IT WAS NOT A ONE SHOT. Brillantly done.

This story is really artfully done with a very soft slash undertone. The portrayal of Tezuka is wonderfully done. Tezuka in the story appears to be very silent and stern, but inside he is awed by Ryoma. I love the way Tezuka is the one who seems to be insecure and sneaks glances at Ryoma, and the way Ryoma seems to care about his Buchou. All in all, the story is bittersweet, warm, and nostalgic.


Author Comments:
The author said she wrote this because she was obsessed with the way Ryoma said "Buchou." I always did like that part. I loved how she fit it in. It was done very well.





Focus by Sweedy-sama
Pairing: TezuRyo
Spoilers/Plot: Continues storyline from Ryoma's match with Tezuka at the Hakuno courts. Currently at when Tezuka is going to Germany.
Audience: Mature -- Contains sex scenes


Comments:
This has to be one of the best Tezuka/Ryoma fanfiction! "Focus" follows the PoT storyline, but takes twists on the actual events (so that Ryoma and Tezuka are together DURING the PoT story). The story is rich with interesting metaphors and word choice. Especially in the first few chapters (where Ryoma is obsessed with watching Tezuka) -- the descriptions are marvelous and original.

"Once, while staring at Tezuka’s wrist, he thought of how it reminded him of an off-white colored mug he had at home that had a picture of Karupin on it. The mug was actually a gag gift from his dad, whom always made fun of the fact that his usually grumpy son would be so kindly attentive to his cat that it almost bordered on obsession. Even though Ryoma had been annoyed with the gift at first, over time, he came to use it so often that it had officially become his own personal mug. Tezuka’s wrist reminded him of that mug because it had the same pale beige color and looked to be just as smooth, if the faint impression of veins were discounted. He’d thought about how the cool ceramic of his mug would warm up whenever he poured hot cocoa in it, and then wondered idly if the other boy’s wrist would feel as warm. He’d also recalled the hardness of the mug’s rim whenever he pressed his mouth against it to sip his drink, and contemplated how Tezuka’s wrist might feel if he touched it or even pressed his lips against it."




One of the main points that I felt Sweedy-sama did very well was the fact that Ryoma and Tezuka were slightly awkward (and inexperienced). I sometimes forget that Ryoma is only thirteen and Tezuka is only fifteen. However, Sweedy-sama does a great job of showing their comfort with each other yet with their timid inexperience shining through. The side story of the other regulars, often humorous to ease off the seriousness of the love story, is another favorite part of mine.

This story is a MUST READ for all TezRyo fans.

I have decided that my favorite Prince of Tennis pairing is Tezuka/Ryoma. I don't understand how there is such a limited number of these types of fics!!! I just don't see the same appeal in Tezuka/Fuji fics (overdone much?) or Ryoma/Momo (Momoshiro is so... not right for Ryoma!). I may post up some recs if I find any worthwhile.
